According to the incidence position of the backlight: the LED backlight module is divided into two categories according to the incidence position of the light source: straight down type and side type, which can be roughly divided into straight down type RGB-LED, straight down type white LED, side light type white LED, vân vân.

The difference between RGB-LED and white LED: RGB LED color gamut performance is slightly better, the disadvantage is that the cost is higher, the price of TV finished products is still difficult to let ordinary consumers accept; The white LED light source, although slightly inferior to the RGB LED in the color gamut, but its relatively high contrast and technology to bear the cost is RGB-LED can not be matched.

The difference between the straight down type and the side in type: The LED side light source emits the light source from both sides of the fuselage, and the light is projected onto the panel through the built-in high light transmittance light guide plate. The biggest limit on the thickness of the LCD is the thickness of the fluorescent lamp, and the side light source is located on both sides of the projection position, so that it does not occupy the space of the thickness of the TV.

Compared with the side light source, the direct-down backlight LED can dynamically control the backlight, so that when the image of some dark scenes is displayed, it is only necessary to adjust the local light of the necessary backlight area (black or dark part on the screen), đó là, it can show the high-quality image effect of light and dark contrast.
